Tybee Pier At Sunrise Family Session

I typically shy away from shooting near the pier due to crowds, but this past year a dear client friend had a special request and this Tybee pier at sunrise session happened.

For those of you that aren’t early risers I don’t recommend a Tybee pier at sunrise family session because they typically starts around 6:30 a.m., but rather one of my sunset sessions. For those that typically do rise early, this location is magical with very few people up and around and the sun rising over the ocean backlighting everything is stunning.

The architecture of the pier lends itself to great leading lines and props like benches and sitting on the pier itself. I tend to encourage parents and couple at family sessions to take full advantage of the ambiance and to be romantic, dance and play not only for good photographable moments, but good memories of the morning too.

“If I could give Shannon an infinite amount of stars, I would because that’s what he deserves. My family and I actually worked with Shannon back in July of 2015 for my parents 25th vow renewal. Unfortunately since then, my father passed away of cancer. When a person passes and all you have left are memories and photographs, pictures become so much more valuable; I can’t place a value on those photographs he took back then. Shannon captured the memories of us so beautifully that day, I look back to those photos all the time. He is able to capture raw beauty and happiness in such a natural way. We all saw his talent then, and since then we have watched him grow and blossom as an artist. Fast forward to this year, we had him capture baptism photographs in Savannah and now most recently we had a family session at the Tybee Pier. He’s accommodating with what you are looking to do, yet he will also give his expertise on what will ultimately photograph the best. When it all comes together, you are given the most beautiful photographs and memories to cherish in your hearts forever. The Savannah area flourishes in the arts, there are a lot of good photographers down here. To be an exceptional photographer is another level, and Shannon is that. Whether you are local or visiting from out of town, look no further for the best experience possible. We are clients for the rest of his career, and are eternally grateful to his kind, gentle soul.” -Jacquelyn H
