I personally fill up one to two months ahead of time with sixty or more sessions per month as do the photographers I recommend. This is a great problem, but we always feel bad when we have to turn families away because we’re not available during their visit. The sooner you reach out to your top choice in a Tybee Island photographer the better your results will be.
Your effort equals your results. I know as a professional I’ve planned out locations, clothing advice, best way to send directions to clients and give them advice like doing a dry run to where we’ll meet to eliminate stress or to wear sunblock to avoid sunburn and many, many other details. All of this is to ensure my clients have a fun, stress-free experience with professional results. However, if you don’t plan and prepare your outfits, don’t know where you’re going the day of your session and didn’t wear sunblock you can’t expect the photographer to edit out all your wrinkles from your clothes or stress and sunburn from your face or move back the sun if you arrived late. Set yourself up for success!
Don’t let money be a primary concern, if your photographer is truly a professional, it isn’t their primary concern either. If a potential client reaches out, but my instincts are that they are looking for something better provided by another photographer’s style I will guide them to that photographer. I’ve found that if you make your business not about money, but about making people happy you will thrive. The same goes for shopping for a Tybee Island photographer. If you love someone’s work they’re probably worth the price. Know that they base their value on what investments in time, education and experience it took them to be able to do what they do consistently for every client day in and day out. Know your value too and that you are worth the best! Yes, even if that means hustling to save a little extra before your vacation. After all, well taken care of images will last not only your lifetime, but generations. In the perspective of centuries, and say your great-great grandchild being able to see a quality image of you and your children that truly shows your personalities…what’s it worth to you?
