For many people that I’m fortunate to have met during a decade of photographing families, Tybee Island Georgia is their happy place. This is certainly the case for the Collier Family. They not only love and embrace everything Tybee, but have been so supportive and loving to include me on that list. Every time April posts something on Instagram I see here living room center piece, a wall of photos from all of our sessions over the years. That someone makes my work the focal point of a room for their daily living and for all visitors to see just leaves me humbled and speechless.
Since our first session three years ago, when their daughter was just a tiny little thing, they have added a little boy and their family dynamic continues to blossom with such a small, but mighty cute addition. See their last session before the one below HERE.
During their most recent family session we visited the extreme north end of Tybee Island Georgia and were treated to practically a deserted beach due to a threatening but never arriving storm summer evening storm. This precious family took full advantage to play and spend quality time as a family on the beach. I felt like a close friend that was simply there and had access to make photographs while it happened. That’s how I would describe the bonds families have allow me to create with them over the years. I’m doing what I love for people I love.
